Wolfe and Co Solutions is led by Mike Straughton, an infrastructure and project development specialist with over 20 years of experience spanning transport, energy and water sectors. Known for aligning commercial and technical goals, Mike helps turn complex ideas into high-value, investable projects.
With a career built on strategic leadership, Mike has delivered major projects such as Snowy 2.0 and Inland Rail, led multidisciplinary teams across multiple sectors, and developed long-term partnerships with government, utilities and global collaborators.
His work has shaped national hydrogen strategies, pioneered renewable energy ventures and created new revenue streams through innovation, negotiation and a deep understanding of market drivers.
Stone Associates
Nik Stone is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and highly experienced sustainability professional. He has 20 years of in-depth implementation and operational experience in both OCED and non-OECD jurisdictions, with on the ground expertise gained in Africa, south Asia, southeast Asia, South America, eastern Europe and Australasia. Nik has led a number of complex assignments which have included devising and implementing the full landscape of sustainability policies and programmes, including project management of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), physical climate risk assessment, health & safety programmes and environmental & social management systems (ESMS). He has also delivered a number of value creation initiatives for corporates and projects across the themes of resource efficiency & decarbonisation, supply chain resiliency and biodiversity net-gain.
In addition to running his own advisory business, Nik is an Environmental and Social specialist for the World Bank / IFC where he works on a rolling contract basis as an embedded member of their environment and social advisory team.
Prior to this, Nik was the Sustainability Director for a global infrastructure investor and developer with a global portfolio of energy assets. He led the team in delivering sustainability reporting and disclosures, project approvals, ESIA, physical climate risk assessment, biodiversity net-gain, supply chain resiliency and indigenous peoples planning for a large global portfolio of solar, battery, wind and transmission line projects and all in accordance with national requirements, Equator Principles IV and IFC Performance Standards
