Cyclone numbers

This chart is a distribution of cyclone risk in the Coral Sea. It’s updated annually and was sourced to provide organisational risk appetite input for surge resourcing decisions within the formally designated cyclone season. In the East of Australia, Cyclone Kirrily was the last crossing on January 25th 2024. Both Cyclones Alfred and Koji had been downgraded to tropical lows before crossing the mainland coast, although TC Alfred did cross Moreton Island as a cyclone.
