Climate Resilience provides an event risk and impact briefing service for clients immediately prior to severe weather events. This isn’t a repeat of the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts but uses detailed experience leading and managing significant weather events for communities and infrastructure to provide strategic insights related to event trajectory, likely impacts and historical context.
These briefings are currently only available for Queensland and Northern Territory clients 48 hours prior to event onset.
Climate Resilience identified the potential flooding of Cairns airport 24 hours in advance during Cyclone Jasper for aviation contacts, and also the historical significance and likely impacts of the North Queensland floods in advance of the early January 2026 event.
